Getting Active

Want to get more active?

Not sure where to start?

We are now offering regular appointments with a healthy lifestyle coordinator at the practice. Louise is part of Health all Round (https://www.healthallround.org.uk/) which is a community health project based in Gorgie-Dalry.

Health All Round – Your Community Health Project

Health All Round aims to improve the health and well being of members of the local community through direct services and access to other agencies. We aim to promote a community development approach to health, encouraging involvement in planning and influencing services.

These appointments can benefit those who are considering engaging in physical activity and/or eating more healthily and feel they would benefit from some support getting started. Louise can assist with goal setting and motivation on a 1:1 basis and can provide information and support on healthy eating.  She can provide access to a variety of projects including free gym access, walking groups, chair-based exercise classes and healthy lifestyle group courses.  In addition, she can help support links to other projects within Health All Round including social groups, mental health support and pain management groups.

Please ask as reception if you would like to arrange an appointment with Louise.
