Gilmore Medical Practice

How to register

Please note that our practice does not provide a substance misuse prescribing service.

To join us, first check that you live within our practice boundary.

To register please print and complete BOTH forms linked below. You will need to provide proof of address and photographic identification. Please bring these forms and ID to reception between 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.

If you are going to be here for less than 3 months please DO NOT complete forms but you can contact the practice to register as a temporary patient. There are 2 practices in the building and we rotate responsibility for taking on temporary patients each week, so depending on when you enquire about this you may be asked to contact the other GP surgery.

PLEASE ONLY COMPLETE IF YOU WILL BE HERE FOR 3 MONTHS OF MORE.

Temporary patients

People who are visiting a patient of our practice from another area in the UK for a period of less than 3 months, and who become unwell, are entitled to be seen as a temporary resident. Please contact the surgery for more information.

If you only require a supply of your regular medication, it may be possible to obtain this from a local pharmacy under the Unscheduled Care Scheme, or by the pharmacist liaising directly with your GP.

Search for local pharmacy services.

Visitors to Scotland

For visitors to Scotland who are unsure what health care you could get for free there are factsheets which tell you what you are entitled to through the NHS if you become ill or have an accident while here.
